The healing process.

Days 1-2

Right after your brows are done, they’ll look very bold, dark and fuller than expected.
It’s completely normal for them to appear much darker and slightly larger than the final healed result- they will lighten and shrink down a bit!

You may also notice some slight puffiness, redness and tenderness.

These usually settle within a day or two, though sometimes they can linger a little longer.

Days 3-5

By the third day, the discomfort should be fading, and any redness should be gone. Your brows will still look dark and heavy for now.

Around day 4, you’ll likely notice the start of scab formation.

By day 5, expect some itching and flaking (a good sign that your skin is repairing itself!)

Days 6-8

During this period, the brows will be in full flake mode. Scabs will continue to lift, and the itching may intensify.

By day 7, pieces of the scab will naturally fall away. Try not to touch or pick at them, doing so can reopen the skin and interfere with the healing.

As you move into day 8, the dark pigment will appear to lighten significantly. It’s common to think the color is gone at this point, but don’t worry - it isn’t!!

Days 9-12

Heading into the second week, most of the peeling should finish up. The color often seems to disappear with the flakes, but this is just part of the cycle.

By day 12, your brows should start to look more even and softer in appearance. You may begin to notice the hair-like strokes showing more definition again.

Days 13-21

At this stage, the brows continue to mellow out and look more natural.

Near the end of week three, the brows should look more uniform, and some of the pigment may begin returning depending on the person.

Days 22-30

Around the one-month mark, the healing is usually wrapping up. The color typically comes back at about 75-85%, and will continue to settle over the next few weeks.

Now you get to enjoy your healed brows!

Keep in mind that you will need a touch-up at around 6-8 weeks. Some areas may heal lighter or may have been disturbed during the process. Touch-ups help refine and perfect the look.
